STEINKE PHYSICAL EDUCATION CENTER (SPEC) 910 W. Avenue B, 593-2306 The SPEC supplements the facilities available at the Memorial Student Union Building. When physical education classes, intramural activities and varsity games are not scheduled, the weight training room, basketball, racquetball, badminton and volleyball courts in the SPEC are available for student use. Similarly available, but on a more limited basis, is the indoor swimming pool. Outdoor facilities for sand volleyball, jogging, softball, tennis, soccer, touch football, climbing wall (instructor use only) and other recreational activities are available. Many outdoor recreational facilities are lighted, allowing most of them to be used in the evenings. All faculty, staff and students must present their ID card to utilize any of the facilities.
