began operations in the
1989 fall semester as the seventh college and the first new college to be
created since 1947 at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The college is
committed to improving student achievement and retention through quality
instruction and services to students.

provides advisement for students who have not completed TSI requirements.
ACT/SAT results, TSI results and course placement exams are used to help
with course planning decisions. In addition, liberal arts students who
have not declared a major are assigned an advisor in

also provides intensive advising for at-risk students and provides the
foundation for the total university-wide advisement success.
